ground floor rooms is noisy
I have many experiences staying here when I stayed in Mexico city. Its my first time stayed in ground floor (back of elevator area), In midnight, the lift or other machine make sound for insomnia. If reception arrange room this area, I advise to change better.

Tengo más de 30 estadías en el Hotel Del Principado y me encanta por su ubicación y precios accesibles, pero en esta ocasión el servicio de internet fue pésimo, así como la recepción de señal de internet de mi propio celular (hay algo que bloquea la recepción de cualquier tipo de internet). La segunda noche ya de plano no pude dormir por la incomodidad de la almohada llena de bolas. Y el segundo día preferí casi ni probar del bufete ya que era otra vez huevo con frijoles, sin mencionar que el jugo de polvo sabor naranja horrible y los guisados de plano incomibles. Todo el personal te atiende maravillosamente y hacen milagros con lo poco que tienen. No sé si me vuelva a quedar ahí.

Excelente nuestra estancia
Una excelente ubicación del hotel, habitaciones cómodas y muy limpias. Solo deben poner un poco de atención en el desayuno Buffet, ya que si bajas a desayunar un poco tarde la comida está un poco fría. Por lo demás excelente nuestra estancia.

Este hotel tiene excelente ubicación y sus instalaciones son agradables, aunque en esta ocasión nos dieron una habitación bastante oscura y con un baño tan pequeño que el cancel de la regadera topaba con las rodillas al estar en el WC. Y un detalle del desayuno es que el café siempre está casi frío.

The property is just what we needed for our stay, a clean, quiet, and safe place. While we had no shower/ water temperature issues as other reviewers had, we did have a toilet that was malfunctioning. The response from the staff was prompt and kind. Additionally, we had an unfortunate and unexpected health situation the night of arrival. The front desk was quick to call for help without any hesitation. A day after returning from the hospital, the staff did a wefare check. Once recovered, Diana from the reception desk helped us schedule tours. We were able to save on the cost when compared to Viator and Get-Your-Guide. All in all, our stay was great. Be mindful when reading other reviews. This is not the Ritz Carlton. You are not paying for a high-end resort. The bathroom is small and you don't get all the amenities of such a hotel. If you plan on enjoying the city and surrounding areas all day, this place is perfect for the price point. Additionally, you can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, street vendors, and the metro station. We had an excellent stay at Hotel del Principado.

Hotel Principado is a small, simple hotel near the Zona Rosa in Mexico City; For the past fifteen years I have visited there at least twice a year and absolutely love it. I've known four of the staff members for all those years and they treat me like family when I come to visit. It's a lovely, shady old fashioned neighborhood lined with trees and walking distance to anything you might want or need. In fact, it's walking distance to some of the finest restaurants - like the Casa de Mariachis where there is an 8PM Cultural Floor Show that can't be beat - after enjoying a delicious meal of Mexican BBQ and side dishes. Chapultepec Palace is within walking distance and in all these years I've never seen everything in that palace or its surrounding park. The hotel is simple, no a/c because you don't need it and a lovely dining room and restaurant. There is a business area where you can use a computer or sit and read. The street food surrounding the hotel is more than delicious and two blocks away is Bellinghausen a restaurant founded by a German Chef in 1915 and it's the kind of elegant that has gone right out of fashion - fabulous meals and the finest service in Mexico. Hotel del Principado has become my home away from home. Yes, it could use a coat of paint, but, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Durante la estancia en toda parte del hotel hubo muy mala conexión a WiFi por lo que si me afecto para temas laborales. Habia un espacio abajo para trabajar pero tampoco el WiFi funcionaba bien, ni para videollamadas. Intente comunicárselos pero no me daban respuesta y nunca se soluciono. Tenia que estar fuera del hotel la mayoría del tiempo por lo mismo del WiFi
