The staff at the old pheasant were the standout about this hotel. Everyone was friendly, helpful and really made the trip special. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which was both cooked brilliantly and served quickly.

My wife and I have stayed here on several occasions in recent years and have been treated well and at a fair price. Our room including bathroom was, as ever, a reasonable size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good and served with good humour by the owner. The hotel is well-positioned for travel in the area and I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Only stayed for one night and was happy with everything. Comfortable room (with a fan to keep the temp cool), friendly helpful staff and a lovely cooked breakfast. Everywhere was clean and there is a car park at the rear of the property.

A lovely 2 night stay in a cosy Inn & within easy reach of the beautiful surrounding Market towns of Oakham & Stamford. Bernard was a very pleasant & helpful owner & we would definitely recommend staying there.

Really nice stay. Room cosy with everything you'd need apart from a fridge which wasn't a big deal for us. Great bar with a good range of beers and spirits and spot on food. You order cooked breakfast the night before and a full and hearty breakfast it was- very tasty indeed. The manager on site was really good- faultless. Nothing too much trouble and even let me use her freezer overnight! The Old Pheasant is handily placed for Melton , Stamford and Burghley House. Would definitely recommend.

The room was comfortable but the bathroom looked very tired and there was a rip in the bedroom net curtain. You have to order cooked breakfast the day before which is fine but the quality was only mediocre and not much choice if you decide against a cooked breakfast. Plenty of parking and took about 10 mins to drive to Oakham.
