Very clean and had all the amenities in the common areas. Close to Fish Lake. Just a note, it's self-check in with no staff to greet you. I was the first guest to check-in and it was a bit creepy. 3 stories of empty gave me a Shining Vibe lol. I survived. Will stay again.

Stayed in the family suite with a party of 5. There was PLENTY of room for all. There is a full kitchen downstairs that can be used which is really convenient especially if staying multiple days. Check-in was completely automated with no one present on site. This was was easy to navigate but just FYI.

This is a quaint hotel with lots of history just a half hour from Capitol Reef National Park. The value is good compared to hotels closer. There are a lot of useful common spaces, including a commercial kitchen, dining room, game room, and cinema. The hotel is self serve with no staff on site, just codes for the exterior and room key pads. It felt a bit like a cross between a hotel and a hostel. All the communal areas, the cooking options, and the overall feel reminded me of hostels, although having my own room and bathroom is of course much better. For me, the communal aspect was a fun change during my long trip as I talked with other travelers. The self service aspect wasn’t completely bad, but more support would have been helpful in my case. When I arrived about three in the afternoon, I found that my bathroom light didn’t work. I called the support number and was told maintenance would come about five. At 5:30 I called again and talked to a different person who hadn’t heard anything about the problem and said they would check on it. During this time I noticed the wall outlet in the bathroom also didn’t work. By 7:30 I gave up on waiting and went wandering. The basement has common spaces and in one corner I found a dark utility room with the breaker panel. Found the tripped switch and fixed the problem myself. Never heard back from anyone. Overall, a nice place if you don’t mind being self sufficient. Also, grocery is across the street.

We were skeptical about this place when arrived and found just a keypad on the front door. We hadn't realized that it was self-check-in. We hadn't been sent a code, so we called the number and a helpful person ensured that we got in. Our room was excellent. Clean, and new-looking. The bed was extremely comfortable. Large TV. There was no breakfast service, but a large kitchen was available on the first floor if we had wanted to cook something. Large theatre room downstairs as well as a ping pong table. This was a nice place - we wished we were staying longer than one night. Would definitely stay here again.

No staff interaction. Room supplies like coffee & condiments not replenished. Rooms and building recently renovated, are in very good condition. Extensive kitchen and supplies available to guests willing to do their own cooking. Very limited dining available in this small isolated town. Be prepared to travel for meals or to prepare your own. Good grocery store across the street.

This place was awesome! We didn't take advantage of all the community amenities since we only had time to sleep but we wanted to! This would be perfect for a large extended family trip to Capitol Reef. Everyone has their own room but can hang out in the common areas. We really appreciated the upkeep, the cleanliness, and the thoughtfulness. They didn't just provide the minimum like so many hotels. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Property is like a huge mansion with 14 individual rooms, large common areas that include a very large kitchen, dining room, living area, including a basement level with a ping pong table and games. Even though we were a couple, we could appreciate the spaciousness of the property and ample personal space in the room. The stay felt less like a hotel and more like an Airbnb or Vrbo because check in was virtual. Even though I do like having staff on site, it was easy to text to get an answer to any of our questions. My wife would've appreciated a hair dryer in the room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The room was nice - very clean - beds very comfortable. Two things I didn't like - the windows in our room were facing the lobby/dining area. The lights were on all night out there so it was too light in our room and it made it really hard to sleep. The other thing I didn't like was there was no hair dryer. EVERYBODY has hairdryers in the rooms so I didn't bring one and it was very frustrating.

Check in information provided in plenty of time. Locating my actual room proved challenging as the floors were numbered on the European system not the American system. It would have been nice if the instructions had included information on how to lock the room from the outside. I did figure it out eventually. The room itself was large, clean and airy. Tiny mini fridge with no freezer section. Did not use the cooking facilities provided.
