Fantastic place to take the kids. Good swimming pool. Very close to a very nice beach. Apartments with good room (just a small fridge, was a little minus). Amazing bakery with very good food and pleasant team. Very nice SPA available. A calm relaxing, welcoming place. Beautiful nature and surroundings.

Overall, excellent location, comfortable rooms and spacious villa. PROS: 1) The location was great, within a stone's throw of supermarkets, a 5 min drive to Carvalhal and 10 min drive to Comporta. All the beach clubs are within a 7 min drive. 2) The rooms and the house are very spacious and comfortable, The pool was also large. 3) The place was clean, which we appreciated. 4) Amazing air con, and you can control the temperature in every room separately. CONS: 1) No blackout blinds. They have 'blackout' curtains, which let light come in from pretty much all angles. 2) The noise from the other villa's gardens is pretty annoying when the other guests are outside. We had to ask neighbours to please keep it down on 2 different evenings. On the last night, there was also a live music band playing and it went until midnight, which wasn't ideal with our young daughter trying to sleep. 3) The staff at reception barely speak English. This made it hard to communicate and made for an annoying check-in experience. Overall, it's a good place in a good location.

No elevator, still in early startup mode - no pool

I’m confident it will be better over time, but right now they have quite a bit to work on. Many drinking glass were not cleaned and spider web on some chairs. Despite >85% empty (my assumption) we got an apartment where we had to go up some stairs to reach it. No elevator and not possible to change. The reception is not very quick or helpful. Took 10 minutes from the got or passports until check in was done, or even more. On the plus side, it’s rather affordable to be this section of comporta with this quality and set up but without a nice pool area, we would never come back. The French cafe Simone is probably the best in the Comporta and Melides. Amazing bakeries and good for a take-away lunch.
