Check in went well, everything looked good. I left the room to run to the grocery store and when I went back, the lights didn't work, no power in the outlets so I couldn't charge my phone, nothing. Luckily the AC kept working but nothing else. I couldn't shower. I figured it was a momentary glitch so I went to bed. When I woke up, same problem. I had to leave early so the office wasn't open to report the issue.

I can't say enough about the excellent, friendly service by the on-site managers, Tim and his wife! Excellent hosts. The motel is the best around. But don't over expect. Advertised as newly remodeled, it is an old building and has old building traits. The bed was very clean and comfortable, no bed bugs. Carpet was a bit nasty. Coffee was good. Toilet seat was new but loose, and I was unable to tighten it myself. Air conditioner is excellent. Lastly, it's loud in the mornings. So don't plan on sleeping in. It's loud! Trains, trucks, early neighbors slamming doors. To their credit, Tim and his wife supply ear plugs in the nightstand, lol. Good value, and I had a good stay. Thanks, Tim.

We stayed 1 night on our way out west. It is an old motel (built in 1950) on historic Route 66. If you are looking for very modern with a lot of amenities, this is not the motel for you. But if you are looking for a clean room with soft sheets, very friendly staff, and people staying there who are friendly and talkative this may be the place. The bed was comfortable, they had a king-sized pillow on the king bed (doesn't happen much anymore), the AC almost froze us out. They had a TV guide in the room (also not in many rooms anymore) so we didn't have to keep going through all of the channels to find what we wanted every time we turned the TV on. The area is not the best-there are a lot of buildings and hotels that are abandoned and run down probably from when I-40 took over. There are a few places to eat fairly close by and a burger place within walking distance. By bedtime the parking lot was full and I was a little surprised that that many people were there to stay the night. All in all I would absolutely stay here again.

The room was small but they allowed pets and that was awesome. The shower needed a good scrubbing- I would have done it for them if some supplies were left like a scrub brush. The place was all a person really needs and the staff was very accommodating and even had some great food suggestions. Good place for a quick stop over.

Great older motel showing its age. Like all older motels, it suffers from a lack of electrical outlets, but we've learned to travel with power strips. The staff bends over backward to help. Room has many boutique features: full size coffee maker, patterned sheets, southwestern art, fleece blanket and genuine pieced quilt, list of local restaurants that aren't chain dining, complementary ear plugs (not needed). First motel we've stayed at that had a genuine metal key. Rooms surround a court that allows parking directly in front of your room.
