This was my wife and I first time ever in the state of Oregon and our first time in Portland. When we got to the Sentinel , we realized there was not really any parking but the valet was there and his name was Tyler ( I could be wrong with the name ) , but he was super nice , helped us get our bags and bring them inside and lead us to the front desk ( he also later helped us with some good food suggestions) . We were greeted warmly by Dylan and got us checked in ( early I might add ) he gave us a quick lobby tour , explained the restaurant ( there is a restaurant onsite but it’s part of a different building sort of .. ) and I might add that whatever scent they had in the lobby , smelled amazing like old books and leather and tobacco and warmth ! Dylan offered himself and asked if we needed anything else and was great !
My wife and I rode the elevator up and when we stepped off , it was so much more beautiful than we had thought ! The art was beautiful and thoughtful and the decor was vintage but not too much , very classy and rich and the way the lights shined through the skylights lighting up all the live indoor plants lining the hallway of the apartment style rooms . We opened our door to our room and were immediately taken a back , at how the aesthetic was perfect for us .
