「Lovely clean room - it is over a pub so did not expect complete quiet. Staff were helpful. Outdoor area is more for pub customers but not the end if the world. Lovely river with birds to watch.」

「Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!」

「Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. The bar area was nice, log fire burning and lots of locals in there. One negative was the water temp in the shower - I imagine as it’s an old...

「Lovely location. Good parking for car. Big house near farms. Host welcoming. The breakfast was good and room very comfortable. The only downside was the smell of damp dog that permeated throughout the house. We kept the bedroom windows opened all the time. 」

「A last minute booking at this small out of the way historic inn. It was busy at the bar where we checked in so a short wait. Room was basic but well appointed, bed super comfy, shower was hot, tea and coffee in room. Self serve continental breakfast in a dining room was great. Food in the restaurant was amazing and beautifully presented. Set in a small town with adjoining farmland. Close the Hampton Court Castle and gardens.」
