"Quite a clean place to stay with good friendly service. The parking rules are not easy to adhere to with the poor signage and one way traffic route, and actually seems quite pointless given the amount of space that is available.
More vegan options at breakfast would be helpful and more fresh fruit options.
Felt it was nice but a bit expensive given the limited breakfast and tiny rooms.

"A nature friendly, fully disabled accessible, clean and comfortable place with decent common room, healthy breakfast and nice staff made the stay enjoyable. Difficulties for check in given the unique automated checkin arrangement and the absence of staff onsite after their service hours to help. "

"Beautiful little hotel right on the Locks. If you are a people watcher this hotel is for you. It is so fun watching the boats go up and down the five locks into or out of Loch Ness. Everything is walkable. "

"Property wasn’t very clean, unfortunately. Comfortable stay, otherwise. Check-in instructions were fine, but zero response from property when attempting to ask questions, so communication was both good, and not. "

"The accommodations were not comfortable at all. The pillows, mattress, and bedding were old and incredibly uncomfortable. The heat was not on, the bathroom was disgusting and even though it was mentioned several times in the listing, there was no Wi-Fi. When I started to bring to concerns with the owner he stopped responding to me. We left after an hour or two as there was no way we could spend the night in a place life that for the prices we were paying. "

"Ideal short stop. On contacting owners direct, received rude reply. The kitchen and toilet bins were not emptied for 3 days. Owners reply was that she couldn’t check every time someone put rubbish in them. Well, if you are busy that is when bins fill up the most! Very slippery entering shower block and suggested non-slip mat. I had to go to hospital because of a nasty fall due to slippery conditions. Just be warned!"

"Great one night stay. A little pricey for what it is, but it was a neat little place. Pretty standard accommodations a little farther out than I expected, but would recommend."

"Very nice hotel, great location to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Hotel Restaurant was excellent too. Nice convenient location, clean, great expedient customer service. Would stay at this hotel again in the future."
"This place is quite charming with exceptionally friendly staff. The food is wonderful. We have now stayed at this hotel twice and look forward to visiting again. "
"The rooms were well acquainted, as well as the lounges. Staff was eager to help and extremely hospitable. Would definitely stay here again if our travels took us that direction. "
"The Highland Club is in a old abbey. I has been renovated into a modern and very comfortable place of lodging. The rooms are modern, but the facility creates a feel of being in an ancient cathedral. It was very nice. The staff was extremely nice and helpful."
"Our stay at Binnilidh Mhor was absolutely wonderful! Alan and Sheila made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and genuine kindness. The B&B itself is immaculately clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds—exactly what we needed after long days exploring the breathtaking Scottish Highlands.
The breakfast was delicious, and Sheila’s homemade yogurt was a standout—so fresh and flavorful! But what truly made our stay special were the lively and memorable conversations around the breakfast table. Alan and Sheila have a gift for creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family.
The surrounding countryside is stunning, and the people in the area are as warm and welcoming as our hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely be returning to Binnilidh Mhor on our next trip to Scotland.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable, and heartwarming stay in the Highlands. Thank you, Alan and Sheila, for such a memorable visit!"
"The food is fantastic and the bar is well stocked. Be sure to make a dinner reservation if arriving after 4 or they may be booked!! Many folks eat there who are not staying at hotel."
"This is a wonderful place to stay. It feels like the Scottish hunting lodge it was, solid and comfortable and close to the forest. The view over Loch Ness is perfect. The staff take very good care of you. The food is excellent. The location is convenient to all the Highlands. The bed is comfortable. There is a fine lounge downstairs and chairs on the lawn overlooking the loch. My only tiny complaint was that the toiletries and in room coffee came in tiny plastic packaging which caused a lot of difficult recycling.
"
"The staff/owners were all absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate us. They specially made vegan meals for us. They gave us advice on places to hike. Location is wonderful, surrounded by Lochs, mountains - great hiking trails. We loved staying with them."
"It is a great property but don’t arrive late because there is not much communication until you arrive at the property. We arrived 3pm and you pick up keys at the coffee shop that closes arround 5:30. As long you get there early you won’t have a problem. Otherwise, the property is great! Very clean and spacious. One of the nicest place we have booked. "
"We loved our stay at the Loch Ness Lodge! The whole experience was lifted to the next level by the excellent 5 star service we received from start to finish. The gentleman running the hotel was wonderful at explaining sights in the area, booking a restaurant, and giving us some great explanations about local whiskeys and how to appreciate whiskey for first-timers. The hotel felt very premium yet still cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay here again."
"This was a wonderful stay. The hostess was so very kind and helpful. I loved sitting out front and enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are restaurants and shops not too far, but the best part was the walk to the loch!Highly recommend!"
"We loved this property and the owners! We felt very welcomed and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was perfect for the three of us and breakfast was amazing!!"
"Above all expectations. Views wonderful, room well appointed, clean, fresh and comfortable.
Perfect for a short stay, if you’re there exploring what the area has to offer."
"Welcomed by Keith who talked us through everything in relation to breakfast, our room etc. Everything was perfect. Hubby was happy as coffee machine in our room! Spacious, large en-suite with good shower. Loved the ‘hair straightener’ slate on the dressing table to ensure no burn marks left - I used that.
Huge choice for breakfast. Lovely room to eat it in. The property is in a great position. Would definitely recommend & return.
