When I arrived I mentioned that I might have to cut my stay short. The front desk said I needed to work with hotels.com as they were the ones I booked the stay with. The first card key I was given was for a different room. The second card key was for a room already occupied. Finally got a room with the third card key. The room was neat and clean, but clearly in need of an update. The walls were paper thin; I could easily hear conversations in adjacent rooms, even across the hall. The TV didn't work (came on with a menu, but the screen itself was black). Water leaked out of the vent in the bathroom. There was a lot of "building" noise, not sure what it was, but it was constant and annoying. Turns out, I did have to check out early, but I was denied a refund on the days I had already paid for. So they were able to book the same room and collect a daily rate from another guest even though I had already paid for it. Absolutely terrible customer service. Will definitely never stay with Extended Stay America again ... and will probably never book a stay through hotels.com again.
