We’d Go Back Again And Again!

The customer service at The Pine Lodge was outstanding! Even though they were doing some renovations we had a wonderful stay. Our very roomy suite even had a big balcony and a fireplace.

Nice place

This hotel would be fine except it's under renovation. In another month they should be done. Our air conditioner did not work correctly which is important to us. Room was nice. We have a river balcony which helped. The shower was well equipt with liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. People were nice.

Not what we expected

We were not informed that the hotel was under construction. The pool was not clean and the whirlpool tub was out of service. Our room window had a crack in it and the road noise was a bit exaggerated as a result of that. We chose it for the pool and hot tub and unfortunately both were disappointing.

Overall, a Nice Stay

The hotel first floor is being remodeled so that is good. It just happened to be on the south end of the building that we had to use. It was rough plywood for flooring as you came in the door. No problem as long as you watched your step. Looks like the foyer and dining area are two of the areas being updated. We had to go downstairs to the makeshift dining area. There was only cereal and 2 of 3 different kinds of muffins. We ended up going downtown to the Buffalo cafe.

Unacceptable conditions

We booked this hotel for its pool and proximity to town, but it was a complete letdown. While our arrival started well with a great shuttle driver, everything changed when we stepped inside. Nowhere were we warned that the hotel was undergoing major construction. The entire lobby was gone, and we were forced through a makeshift entrance, navigating dust-filled air and loud tile removal. It was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. The pool was closed, which ruined our only chance to use it. The staff was incredibly kind and understanding, but they were not at fault. They handled it as best as they could, but the hotel should not be open in this condition. What is most frustrating is that people have limited time off and choose hotels based on trust that their experience will be worth it. This hotel knowingly takes reservations despite being a disaster, and because of that, we had to scramble to find a last-minute alternative, costing us $400 more. Running a business in this state is selfish and unprofessional. At the very least, guests should be warned, but in reality, this hotel should not be open. Avoid this place and stay somewhere that respects its guests.

Under construction

I called before i booked my stay. No one mentioned it was under construction. When i got here i found out about the construction. They had trouble gett my room combination put together but they made it works. Once in my room it took 3 hours 2 phone calls to get out tv to work. Outside pool and hot tub were closed the first night. Next day we left hotel. It was noisy and dusty from construction. When we came back we had to walk through construction and dust to get to our room. It was not nice. Elevator was shacky and scary. Breakfast on first day nothing hot was served. Next Breakfast they had cold sandwiches you could heat up. I booked this place on reviews bec3they said they had wonderful breakfast it was a huge disappointment because it was under construction. They should have shut down hotel with the amout of work they were doing. Lots of people were upset that we talked to that stayed here.

Th amenities that we had in previous times staying here were no longer a thing. The pool had bodily fluids in it. The hot tub had a film and concrete at the bottom of both hot tub and the pool.

Amazing place to feel special

We had a large group stay in 3 different rooms and every single person (ages 7-75) LOVED their stay! All of the special touches like snow shoes to borrow, hot chocolate bar, wonderfully hot water, the DEN (major highlight for the families) the outdoor pools, porches that look out to the river, very close to stores and directly across from the SNOW BUS stop, everything was spotless even the toilet paper was folded to a point! The only things that you should be aware of are: That the walls between rooms are thin, so some guest are not as considerate. The water is HOT so if you have kids, be careful. The DEN can get wild, when other guest bring beer.
