This hotel is in an excellent location. Blocks from Las Ramblas, the beachfront, old town, and great tapas. The hotel has a glorious rooftop restaurant with amazing food that’s priced right. On the subject of food, as you exit the hotel, turn right, then turn right at the first corridor. Walk straight ahead crossing over one nartow street. Then, at the next intersection turn right. You’ll find a secret tapas bar called Gilda by Belgious. Amazing tapas! Also, there are other great restaurants on...

Such a beautiful place. Old, beautiful, well-maintained and staffed with outstanding young people. I especially enjoyed Maria at the front desk, Jose Manuel our porter. But really, all of them were so helpful and lovely. Charming, even. I love this place. I think I’m too old to make my way back to Barcelona again, but if I did, I’d definitely stay here. Each time we returned to the hotel and were greeted by the doorman, it felt like we were returning to a place that cares about us.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Barcelona
Book for the cheapest times: The best time to visit Barcelona on a budget is during January, November, or December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For an affordable experience that provides great value for your money, planning to stay for at least 3 to 4 days is ideal. This allows ample time to explore the city's remarkable landmarks and cultural sites, including its stunning architecture, fascinating museums, historic churches, and vibrant shopping areas. With a budget-friendly approach, you'll have the opportunity to soak in the rich history and urban charm that Barcelona has to offer.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Barcelona, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. To enhance your chances of finding special promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. This will keep you informed about flash sales and opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed decisions. You'll be notified if prices drop or if rooms become available, making it easier to book a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Barcelona hotel. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans toward the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to more affordable options.
Consider your location: Staying close to major attractions or city centers may offer convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighborhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to your planned destinations. You might also explore independent hotels located further out, which usually tend to be more affordable and offer a more authentic experience.
