What to do in El Nido

El Nido is widely thought to have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, which are spread among tiny islands, isolated coves and hidden lagoons. Located at the northern tip of the Philippine island of Palawan, the municipality is famous for its white-sand beaches, colourful coral reefs and stunning blue seas – it’s basically the archetype of a tropical paradise.

Rapidly rising in popularly thanks to its regular appearances on Instagram, El Nido’s main attraction is still its natural beauty. Its name, which translates as “the nest”, comes from the fact that it’s a major turtle breeding ground. If you’re looking for a place to unplug and just enjoy the peace and calm, that place is El Nido.
