Went for volleyball to Colstrip, the hotel was very accommodating! Staff was excellent, clean everywhere, pretty outdated but still a pleasant stay! The beds were very uncomfortable but clean! Breakfast was nice and stocked

Stay at your own risk
There are very limited places to stay in Colstrip, so I was forced to try this place. Although the staff was friendly, my room was less than clean. The mirror, tv and fridge were apparently wiped with a very dirty cloth as they were extremely streaky. The fridge was not working. And exterminators arrived in the morning to spray five rooms. Maybe that’s a good sign?

I reserved a room through Expedia. When I got to Colstrip Inn & Suites. I was informed that the king bed I reserved was not available, however they had a double queen. This was fine to move to double queen but then they informed me because I am not getting the room I reserved on Expedia for $116, they now have to change my bill to $132 since I was now getting a different room. It felt like a bait-and-switch moment. There were no other lodging available that night in Colstrip, MT and i was too tried to drive any further. It was frustrating. In addition, the Colstrip Inn & Suite staff reported that my email was not listed from Expedia that they could not reach out to me about the changes. However, I saw on the sheet that my phone number was listed and they never called me.

Check in was easy. Room was clean, but the bathroom door did not close completely and when door was open it touched the toilet bowl. Also the bathroom fan was not functioning properly. Had a horrible squeal when turned on. We stayed two nights. Put the maid service sign on the door when we left at 8:30 am. None was done that day-no fresh towels or coffee packet refills. Saturday morning continental breakfast-nothing was refilled. Tables were very sticky in the lobby area. Check out process was easy.

Everything was great until the day manager came in. We were on bikes and there was a storm coming in. We asked the evening desk clerk if we could leave our bikes under the covered entry and she said it would be fine. The day manager came in and made it very clear she was unhappy that the bikes were out there. She told my husband that dealing with storms is just part of riding a bike. When I told her we asked permission she told me the desk clerk would be written up and if she was traveling with her husband he would have covered her bike if a storm was coming. Apparently we were blocking the night clerks parking spot, however the day manager had no issue parking in the spot. Either way I would never go to this hotel again. This women was so condescending and rude, we would never have parked there without asking first. If there is a training issue at the front desk she shouldn’t share it with the guests. I also feel bad knowing the desk clerk who had been so helpful and pleasant was now in trouble for making paying customers happy.
