Dangerous, ruined my health

I WARN everyone from staying at St Giles - it's ruined my health. The first night, a fire alarm goes off, for no reason other than some drunk person played with it somewhere - And the alarm is so high, way too high for any kind of health safety - in these small small rooms, the alarm blaring so loud. It gave me tinnitus - for life. It is now over 6 weeks later and my ears are still ringing. It's permanent tinnitus, for no other reason that this hotel not caring for their guests health. Fire alarms should be loud - but THAt loud, in such small rooms, with the alarm so close to the bed, is dangerous and has ruined my health forever. I warn everyone from staying here.

Good for 1 night

For a 1 night stay this hotel is perfect. We got an early check in which was great. The hotel was under construction when we stayed and we must have been in a room that hadn't been renovated yet. The room was a bit tired and run down, there was also a smell of urine coming from the bathroom but we could deal with it for the 1 night. The room was very comfortable, everything was very clean. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a few steps away from Tottenham Court Road tube station.

Fawlty towers

Booked this hotel because the rooms looked lovley. Got there the hotel is getting refurbishment which is not on there website or never received an email telling me this some rooms have been refurbished but not my 1 fawlty towers rooms were better also the mattress was like a trampoline ridiculous . Staff were great tho thats about the best thing and nice pint of there own lager . Then the work starts at 9am banging drilling and whatever other noise so dont stay here if you want a lie in .

2 nights in London

Stayed at the St Giles hotel in London and though the area and location were fine, I wasn't impressed by my actual room. I know I should have expected a small room, but it was tiny. I was by myself and still felt cramped. Don't get me wrong, everthing had been updated and water pressure was fine, but bed sheet was not tucked in and there was only 1 pillow. Also since I was traveling alone, I was ok with using the 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. Staff originally assigned me a room next door to construction, but after they called to make sure everything was alright, they moved me to another room. Unfortunately I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. Even checking out I got a feeling of leave already! I had no major complaints, but there are many options in London that may be better.
