Service started bad since Check in. The receptionist blocked by debit card they didn’t offer us to take our bags or even indicate where or how to get to our room. Hotel need maintenance ASAP and the smell of the sewer is really bad. Housekeeping opened my room door without knocking and came in while I was changing.

Food was not great. Only good thing about spa was hydrotherapy. Alot of staff seem to have attitudes or were rude. Too much confusion about room upgrades. They lied about being sold-out. Butlers were hit or miss. Either you had a good one that communicated or you didnt. No tour, no map, no explanation of services, amenities, nothing. Music was outdated. Bath tub was dirty day 1. Room service took forever. Complimentary bottle was given on last day so had to give away. Not impressed with this resort at all. Elevators were always out of service in main lobby & sports bar staff were lazy & rude. Service took forever or not at all. No one explained diamond club or where office amenties located.

We had an amazing time.!! I always stay at Royalton resorts and always had the best experience ever.! I actually booked to stay from Friday - Monday and had such a great tune that we booked another night on the resort… This was my first time booking a resort through hotel.com and it was a easy smooth experience

Beautiful property but too many flaws. The adults only is limited to one side, there definitely are kids around. Food is mid at every restaurant. Check in is at 3, my room wasn’t ready til 5. They ran out of towels for the beach twice. Escalator was broken for 2 days. And last but not least the wristband/room key stopped working in the middle of my stay. Just too many inconveniences for the money I spent.

The resort itself it very clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help at all times . We dined at Dorado and the steak house and both were very dissapointing .One should not need to go to the buffet after eating at these restaurants . We were at Hideaway and upgraded to Diamond club so we were expecting a higher level of dining .We stayed there five years ago and found the food was much better at that time .
Our butlers were superb .Luis and Ulise were very attentive and listened to our concerns and filed reports on our behalf . I would certainly request them both should you decide to book a trip .

It took us over 3 hours to check in. We were fortunate to have a room. Many did not. our friends we were traveling with had a dirty room upon waiting for 3 hours to check in. I fell and injured my replaced knee due to poor lighting. the concrete outside was very unlevel where it had been repaired thus making falling very easy. We saw many people fall. The restaurant app was a joke. It shows that there was 11 restaurants but never saw any from the other resorts on our app. They wee always booked when checking to make them. I will not reccomend this property to anyone and will never travel back to it.

Adult only pool could have been bigger. Service for breakfast at the adult only restaurant was poor and so was food. Turn this into a buffet. Pool beds were all reserved by 7:00a.m. and trying to get one was a joke. Main buffet was excellent and food at the restaurants generally was good. Menu at tex-mex was poor and whatever passed for fries was terrible. Room was excellent, but headset on phone was missing its cord. Waiter Rogellio? at adult pool was excellent and attentive.

Beautiful place to stay in very cleans lots to do in the hotel. The only problem we had was with the servers in the pm in the buffet they would completely ignore us and didn’t bother to ask how we were doing or bring us drinks and they would try to say that we couldn’t be in the buffet! The am staff in the morning was amazing we would always try to find Angel he was always friendly and we also love Jacinto in the bar area really fun and friendly! I would recommend the Royalton Hotel!

Service staff is very good. They need to enforce the policy for reserving loungers at the pools and have it done by the pool butler.

Exceptional service. Great food. The property is beautiful but looking a little worn and in need of renovation. Loved my stay. Second time there and the suite with the swim out pool in the Hideaway was fantastic.

This was a nice resort with a great staff but the app did not work to make dinner reservations and they don’t take dinner reservations in person. Also there are a ton of kids so if you are looking for an adults only this is not the place to stay.
