My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is fun and quirky with a lovely courtyard full of plants and flowers and staircases up to all the rooms. There are garages for parking, but we drive a full size 3/4 ton pickup so we did not fit. The gentleman that checked us in guided us in to park within the courtyard so that our truck was secure. The rooms are old San Francisco and ours was spacious. It faced into the courtyard and we were not bothered by noise at all. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is great. It even had two sinks and well-lit mirrors! Check in was fun and he suggested we walk down to Chestnut Street one block below where there were lots of restaurants. We enjoyed our dinner down there at Original Little Joe's and then walked back down the next morning for coffee before we left. It was sort of like we belonged in the neighborhood and we really enjoyed it. When we come back to San Francisco we will definitely stay here again.

Secret in San Francisco
I can't believe this lovely motel exists in San Francisco. Our room was at the back and one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. All the plants and paintings around a courtyard reminded me of Santa Fe. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are lots of coffee shops, wine bars, and restaurants with only a short walk. You don't need a car and have free parking anyway.

Hidden Gem Suite
We loved the location that was close enough to walk to the marina, The Palace of Fine Arts and The Golden Gate Bridge. The room was a charming suite with bougainvillea blossoms at the two front windows. We felt comfortable and safe with our car stored in the private garage. We would love to return to this lovely spot.

A Gem in the Marina
This place is as darling as it looks! Extra bonus for a parking space, and a kitchen. It's a bit dated inside, but clean. Service is quite friendly. I really like the neighborhood restaurants and stores on parallel Chestnut Street. Definitely will come back!

We loved staying here, it was clean, safe and peaceful. My only concern is the way we had to park on the side as close as possible to the bushes which left some scratches on my car but otherwise everything else was wonderful. The guy at the front desk was pleasant and funny.
