There was one coffee pod and no tea. It's an ok place to stay for a day or two. The communication and ease of checking in was great though I really appreciate that. And the view from the front room was beautiful.

Fabulous. Problem with check-in but host sent a message but cell service isn't so great in Newfoundland. Also, arrive during the day. Hard to find (wrong place in Google maps) and not well lit so hard to know when we were in the right place. Had to call to find out what was going on. Host had messaged so it all worked out in the end. Glad it did. Wonderful, clean, comfortable, well equipped. Would have stayed longer if we had the chance.

I booked the Basic Cottage, Garden View. When I checked in the lady said the room had no TV, kind of a shock in this day and age but I blamed myself for not reading the fine print. Oh well, not a deal breaker. However, when I drove to my cabin the WiFi reception was terrible. I drove by some of the other cabins and the signal strength was better (but not great) and they appeared unoccupied so I returned to the desk to inform the lady of the issue and asked if I could be moved to another unit. The lady casually (and not convincingly) glanced and her book and said they were all filled up. She said I could sit at the general store and use that WiFi router, which I did to complete some urgent online tasks. But I had other online needs and didn't want to spend my evening at a table in the store. So I looked for other lodging in the vicinity and quickly noticed that Rustic Wave Cottages still had several openings according to the website (I cannot say with certainty they were the same class of units; but she could have at least offered them if I paid the price difference). Rather than confront the lady about the apparent vacancies, I booked a site 20 km down the road in Charlottetown. I gave the lady my room key and left; forfeiting $125 USD. I hate to leave a negative review, but want to warn potential guests about the situation (and perhaps motivate the lodge owner to improve their WiFi).

The cabin we had (#3) had a nice ocean view, sweet kitchen and family-eating are in front of a picture window, lovely hot shower and comfortable beds. The patio seating and barbecue were great and even though there is currently a fire ban there was a designated fire pit and lovely Adirondack chairs. We loved the peace and quiet!

Cabin no 10 was small but had a large bathroom with a fantastic jetted tub which I used, it was delightful. The fridge was next to the bed which did not bother us, kitchen was useful, no kettle. Parked our car right outside. Pleasant surroundings, wifi could be improved. We really enjoyed the one night we stayed here, not sure I could stay here more than 2 nights because of the size.

Our stay was nothing but magical. A beautiful cabin retreat with everything you need. The property was clean, check in was smooth and they communicated very well prior to our arrival to let us know where to go. I’d recommend this property to anyone staying for a night or a week! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but they had a lovely outdoor pool area, bbq spot, campfire pit. Perfect to enjoy the outdoors with friends or family. If I’m ever back in the area I would make sure to book again!

The place was clean. The staff were great. The problem was that the TV was not hooked up and although the owners contacted Bell, we spent the whole night without any TV. Internet was also not great. Worked for first half of the night and was use,rss for the rest of the evening.
