Very nice rooms with all needed amenities. excellent location. Close to the mojo food market, sea point area and ocean, and an hour walk to waterfront (or use uber). Close to hop on-off bus stop. The weather was not for pool time, so did not use that, but the view from top floor is nice, even though it is a small pool and area. My room has a view to some building, but I was not expecting a view, so that was as expected. Nice to be able to open door though (3rd floor). Most staff were very friendly. They clean everyday. I made use of the airport shuttle and the drivers were so nice and friendly, I had some very good chats with them, so highly recommend using this service (additional cost). They do not have a locked baggage storage, but you can leave bags by the reception and they will look after it. In terms of safe areas in Cape Town, this is one of the better locations. There are some homeless in streets nearby, but this is your safer choice compared to downtown. I recommend this apartment hotel, if you look for a place with kitchen and no need for restaurant at hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Tropicana, it’s a modern hotel in a great location with restaurants cafes and bars all walkable distance. The rooms were clean, had security at the entrance and was very convenient having the juno cafe next door. Only downside was the top floor pool is quite small but there are several pools by the pavilion if you want to go swimming.

Absolutely amazing. Way better than excpected. Breakfast is outside of the hotel, but is literally glued to the building 10 seconds by feet. It's amazing. You have 220 ZAR to spend on JUNO if you want to look up on Google. You can get pretty much any combination on the menu including drinks. Very very good service and food. Timing is also amazing, working from 7-12. Cleanness of the room was impeccable and very well equipped, specially the kitchen. Balcony with a view was great. The only concern was the neighborhood. Even thought is very well located and close to the beach, not a good place to walk at night. Good thing is that they have people 24x7 on reception.
