Shortly after checking in, we noticed the air conditioning unit in our room was making loud noises. I called the front desk to report the issue and requested a room change. Initially, they suggested sending someone to check the AC or adjusting the temperature to reduce the noise, but couldn't accommodate a room change.
Given the sweltering mid-July heat, this wasn't a viable solution. Meanwhile, I received a greeting text message from the hotel, which I assumed was automated. However, I decided to respond and explain the AC issue, stating that if they couldn't change the room, we'd have to cancel and find alternative accommodations.
To my surprise, they responded promptly, saying they'd need 10 minutes to find a solution. True to their word, they quickly relocated us to another room with a perfectly functioning AC. We were impressed by their efficient problem-solving, facilitated through text messages with Farah GM. Kudos to the Holiday Inn team for their great customer service!
