This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. We arrived at the hotel and waited 15 minutes for someone to come to check us in. We went to our room and found it to be in poor repair. There were paint splatters on the tile, the tub was so worn down that it looked permanently dirty & the counter of the sink was cut so poorly that it left an unfinished edge on the inside of the sink with exposed glue. We went to the front desk, waited another 15 minutes for someone to come and asked for a new room. We were given one and found it to be worse than the original room! The window was broken and taped together with what looked like packing tape and you couldn't see through it at all. The elevator smelled like cigarette smoke and the carpet in all the hallways was stained and very dingy. Management was incredibly rude to us and when we asked if we could cancel our 3rd night (we had booked 3 nights for an event but didn't want to stay there a minute longer than we had to so decided we would go home early), she told us that that if we were unhappy, we could get out. We asked if we'd be refunded and after much arguing, she agreed but said she'd charge an early check-out fee (despite the fact that she told us to leave). Hotels.com reached out on our behalf and we were able to get a refund for our last 2 nights, but not at an equal cost. We ended up paying much more than we wanted for a terrible room and had to book another hotel. I will never stay at a Comfort Inn ever again!
