Reservation not honored.

Made reservation 2 years ago, only to arrive at hotel to find that OYO Hotel in Mesquite, TX had been sold during the intervening time and my reservation had been discarded. It was the day before the total solar eclipse and I had been abandoned by OYO.

Hotel no longer exists, no reservations transfer

I arrived for my reservation to find it’s now an EconoLodge, sold some months back, and no reservations transferred from Oyo. My reservation no longer existed, despite hotels.com still showing my Oyo check-in scheduled for that day. I’m deeply disappointed in hotels.com, who has lost my trust.

Front desk person was awful ...told me 5 times if I got color on the sheets or towels I would loose my 100 deposit they made me put down in cash ...sheets were already stained with holes in them

I was trying to find a place in East Texas in the wake of a massive power outage and most hotels did not have vacancy. I found this one online and it was supposedly the last room available but, when I got to the hotel, a guy was in front of me already and he said that he just got the last room. Anyway, my complaint is not this but, the way i was treated by the front desk clerk. He demanded I give him 50 dollars cash for a deposit but, on hotels.com, there is no mention of this and I paid what the total came up to prior to arrival. Also, as witnessed with the man in front of me, the clerk refused to provide a receipt. The guy went ahead and decided to stay because he was tired and had been through the same problems as other travelers that night. When he left and I got up to the desk, the guy treated me the same was telling me I could not stay without the deposit (in cash) and he refused to provide a receipt. I told him this sounds like a scam and I walked out. I will be complaining to hotels.com and demanding a refund since I did not stay. I hope that this is not the normal way of treating customers by OYO.

Terrible service and beds where soaked and stained

It was hot the ac didn’t work smelled terrible stained and soaked sheets and mattress the person working there was extremely rude when we asked for help he checked us out and told us to find another hotel
