We stayed here after arriving on a late flight and just needed somewhere to sleep — for that, it did the job. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom, and check-in was easy with friendly, chatty staff.
There were a couple of downsides. There was a noticeable smell as soon as we entered the room — it seemed like a drain smell — and although the floor was marked as non-smoking, there was a definite cigarette smell lingering.
Breakfast was included and was okay overall. The only small issue was that the milk function on the coffee machine wasn’t working, and it wasn’t clear if or when it would be fixed.
At around £250 for the night, it did feel expensive for what it was, though that does seem to be the going rate for hotels near Edinburgh Airport.
All in all, it was fine for a quick overnight stay, but a few details could be improved.
