My stay included several disappointing experiences, especially toward the end. On the last evening, there was no hot water. That night, a loud alarm went off for no reason, waking all the guests. The following morning, due to a water leak, breakfast was relocated to the lobby – but what was offered was just an apple and a muffin. That does not qualify as breakfast, especially when it’s advertised as part of the stay.
I asked about the cost of international calls from the room phone but was told they didn’t know. I asked for a follow-up, but no one got back to me. Later, when I tried calling, the phone didn’t work, even though clear instructions were printed on it.
The coffee in the lobby was very poor – it seemed to have been brewed early in the morning and never refreshed. One morning, we were told we had ten minutes to vacate the room for housekeeping. That is far too short. We had to wait outside until the cleaning was done. At least 30 minutes would have been a fair request.
On a positive note, the quality of the cleaning itself was good – rooms were cleaned thoroughly when service was provided.
However, considering the number of issues – technical, service-related, and communication failures – some form of compensation should have been offered. It’s not just about what went wrong, but how it was (not) handled. I would not choose to stay here again.
