Good stay

Hotel was a nice stay. It is an older building. Staff was friendly. TV quality was not the best but the room was clean. I stayed in the suite room, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, kitchen was clean and had plates available for us to use. Overall it was a good stay. Only critique is the breakfast, it was just bread options, coffee, and some fruits. We were under the impression it would be a full breakfast option the look on my little sisters face was priceless when she saw the options so it gave me a good laugh.

Old building close to Union Square

I stayed here for 5 nights changing 2 rooms. I got an upgrade in my first stay and the room was really good. The second room at top floor was older. The building is pretty old, located in a good area, close to Unuon square and odd neighborhoods; the rooms are comfortable and clean. The serve a basic breakfast, that is not bad, in the hall

Beliggenheden er centralt men for tæt på et utrygt område. Rengøringspersonalet bruger alt for meget duftrenser, så det næsten ikke er til at være i rummet. Vinduerne kan ikke lukke 100 % i. Vi kunne vælge imellem et værelse med ro eller ej og så vi blev nedgraderet i værelsesstørrelsen. Eneste overraskende var dog at de havde gratis ost og vinbord hver dag ml. Kl 15-17. Morgenmaden var trist

Not recommended

Probably great in it's prime. Spacious rooms with a good location that is central to most other districts. Kitchen. The free tea and wine in the afternoon is something unique and appreciated. Unfortunately, customer service seems to be based on a reactive or subjective mindset. No one was outright rude but rather either very matter of fact or at times leaning towards annoyed. Clearly long wait times for your valet car has been a repetitive issue that staff resolve by referring to the print on the valet claim ticket. If I were the owner/manager, I would train my staff and create better messaging tools to more proactively call out the issue rather than leave the issue as a potential source of contention between staff and guests. They also did not bother to explain that pricing for parking depends on the size of your vehicle and that there is a daily 'valet tax.' I had to call out the two items on my bill before getting an explanation of why, no apology for the lack of earlier explanation to help manage my expectations. They also mischarged me on another item that after removing the entire bill changed with different rates. Again, no apology but rather first a couple of matter of fact denials of any changes to finally fixing the problem with a "Good thing you checked your bill twice." One of the bathroom's double vanity sinks didn't work. Rundown motel beds, paint peeling, no room temp control, TV hanging, etc. Same price, another hotel

Terrible

Terrible experience at this hotel! Though it is in downtown of SFO, it doesn’t maintain any standard as it seemed like staying in a slum area. Rooms were stinking and smelly like hell. They put torn/ripped towels just wow! Roof had some cracks with leaking it seems. Toilet flush doesn’t work often, we had to fix manually as service doesn’t care even if you call them. Oh yeah, you need to request for a tissue roll as they will not put extra. We asked the manager to change the room as it was much smelly and kids were not comfortable staying in it but instead she managed to convince us saying they don’t have any rooms available at the moment. As far as parking, they force you to park in their valet parking and they lie about night street parking. Manager told me that street parking is $3.5 per hour at night!!! I knew night parking is free at SFO streets and even sundays, but they trick you to use their pricey parking. Overall I would never recommend even to my enemy..

The building is beautiful, the staff are polite, and valet was great. The room we had needed to be repaired and updated. Bathroom pocket door was broke and could not be shut completely, the jacuzzi tub did NOT work, the bathroom wall paper was peeling. The bed was hard and not comfortable. The room was very spacious, and the pillows were great.

What Happened? No Customer Service

Love this hotel and have always had a great experience. Wow not this time. The girl who checked us in was rude everytime there was an encounter with her. Paid for valet that comes with in and out service. When we called for our car she daid I am too busy you can walk and get your car and hung up. I called back, this time she gave me the garage to call. I did unfortunately, the individual didn't understand english and hung up on me. We had to pay for car service since we couldn't get our car. No I did not pay for valet.
