Great hostel option. You're staying in the UBC dorms with access to laundry, a kitchen with microwave, fridge, and hot water kettle. Location is extremely convenient. I also found it quiet and clean.

It’s a student residence. Cheapest and safest option in the city if you’re cool with that. Expect a lot of walking, a lot of stairs and limited dining spots if you’re unwilling to walk more than a kilometre.

Kaiping, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This property was perfect for the purpose of my visit; the location is convenient, the campus property is stunning, and all the amenities I needed were close by, e.g., transit, coffee shops. Thanks! Will recommend.

Excellent Private Room for a Great Price

Nice private room, no air conditioning but you can ask to borrow a fan. I stayed in August and did not feel hot. Bathrooms were always clean and the hostel is a short bus ride away into the city. I would recommend doing laundry somewhere else otherwise there was a $10 CAD minimum to load the laundry card. Will come back!
Angie, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This an affordable option for a short stay. The university grounds are beautiful. Very easy to access Wreck Beach and city buses. Tons of hot water available. Kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave in the kitchen. Lots of restaurants, yoga studio, gym close by. However the markets are very expensive so you’ll want to pick up any groceries at a proper grocery store.
Pamela, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Among all my travels, this was the first time staying in a hostel. The UBC grounds are spectacular. I definitely will be coming back.
Teresa, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I needed affordable, long term, on campus to be close to classes, and it was so enjoyable. The property checked off all my needs, and because of that I did not leave the property on weekends for hotels because it was the quiet serenity where I was. 10/10.
