Adorable, super clean hotel! Comfortable beds and the cutest midcentury modern decor. The only downside is that the mirror was not above the sink, but instead to the side of the sink, which made getting ready a bit difficult. Even still, I would happily stay here again.

Beautiful place with hammocks and a courtyard pool. Viewing deck allows great views over the mountains and the stars at night. Rooms were spotless, and to my great surprise they had the most powerful water pressure in the shower that I think I have ever experienced. Real firehouse effect. Great breakfast basket and coffee in the morning. Nearby antique shops are a hoot. Ream gem of a place.

This was a lovely stay, we had everything we needed. The staff were super friendly and responsive to questions. Pool area was well maintained, with clean lounge chairs and lots of shade canopies. Room price made our stay really reasonable. We will be back for our next weekend in PS.

We’ve stayed at Villa Royale many times over the last five or so years and it remains our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. The rooms and common areas have been thoughtfully renovated to feel mid-century yet stylish with modern amenities. Most of the rooms feel suite-like with nice kitchenette/bar areas. The three saltwater pools are all heated and always quiet (thanks to the 21 only property). The hotel is very dog friendly and has a large private green lawn that’s used for events but it...

The website doesn’t even do this property justice! What an experience. We felt like we were transported into an alternate reality and team with lemon and grapefruit trees ripe right outside my door, the most charming room with a quaint kitchen and outdoor shower… the people who work there couldn’t have been more accommodating and fun. Safety is a priority there - my fiance showed up unexpectedly and flew in to surprise me and they did their due diligence to make sure he was vetted and walked...

We love this place. Didn't want to leave. Love that it actually feels like a resort (unlike other hotels that say they're resorts) without having to pay resort fees like other hotels charge. Will definitely book this location every time we are in Palm Springs. Room was perfect size, full kitchen with everything we would need, living room, nice size bedroom AND super nice balcony that was real close to the main pool. Extremely satisfied. Will recommend this place to friends and family as well.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Palm Springs
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Palm Springs is between July and September, when hotel prices may drop to lower prices on a budget. For an ideal experience exploring the city's key landmarks, history, and cultural attractions—ranging from desert vistas, golf, festivals, dancing, and live music to opportunities for relaxing, entertainment, hiking, and dining—a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This period offers great value for money, making it a budget-friendly choice for travelers.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To find last-minute deals in Palm Springs, visit Hotels.com and check the Dealsopens in new window section. You may discover discounted rates and, by browsing the Last-Minute Deals area, could find special offers near your travel date. Additionally, enable email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales. With the Smart Shopping comparison tool available in the app, you're more likely to see a range of hotel prices and amenities, helping you plan an affordable getaway if rooms become available or prices drop.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your Palm Springs hotel stay. If you're interested in a unique experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized atmosphere and may offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we'll let you know if the price for your chosen dates is above or below average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates that could help you find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city center usually tend to cost more, but thanks to Palm Springs's excellent public transportation links, you might discover a more likely affordable independent hotel further away that’s still well connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighborhoods or even nearby, lesser-known cities, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
