Have travelled to kihei many times. My opinion is, right amount of shopping and entertainment. Not for all night partiers. More of an older couples and family experience. Beaches excellent. Have never had a bad experience with service staff. Aloha

Kihei has everything you need within walking distance. Be sure to try Kihei Cafe, Coconuts and Gus' Hawaiian Shaved Ice while in town, and South Maui Gardens is a fun little change for a morning walk..

Ideal for families, great beaches with sea turtles, surfing, and budget-friendly souvenirs. Close to OGG airport, Road to Hana, and Wailea luxury shopping. However, pricier beachfront resorts, warmer than Kaanapali, fewer dining options, nee a car ev

Kihei is very nice, and you get the local vibe better than if you stay in Wailea. Kihei shopping is better and has more options. The Wailea resorts are more money of course but also more modern. The beaches were similar, but Wailea is busier.

Plenty of restaurants in this area. I would imagine that it can get busy during peak season because of all the hotels/condos in the area but the 3 beach parks are wonderful. Quieter in the inner parts of this town.

Love it! Had a fantastic visit. One note; not all restaurants or shopping are handicap friendly. I could not visit some of the beautiful little boutiques. That was a little disappointing but I DEFINITELY will return with this knowledge in hand.

Kihei is a good location to be able to see most of the island easily. It is close to beautiful beaches in Wailea and a 20 minute drive from the the airport and Costco in Kahalui. This area can be windy, especially in the afternoon,
"We had an awesome stay! Very clean, very friendly and accommodating! We got engaged and they sent us a beautiful fruit plate and congratulations letter! They also let us check in early and stay late. Absolutely recommend "
"Breath-taking property! Had a whole condo to ourselves, two beds and two full baths. Be careful, they try to sell you a timeshare and you have to attend a meeting that is half a day"
"The unit was updated and clean. The best part for me was the stunning views of the ocean and you can walk to the ocean just over the grass. Would definitely stay there again. "
