Hideaway on an Isle of Skye Hillside

Really unique accommodations. Very quiet and private "hides" or huts tucked on a hill overlooking beautiful Skye landscapes. A central building with an awesome dining room, bar and game/relaxing area is steps away. Check-in was fast and easy with friendly and professional staff. Only meals we ate here was breakfast and it was great. Service was great. Coffee was great. Poached eggs on avocado toast was great. Fruit and croissants were also great. Just a 10-12 minute stroll to Portree Harbor. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful time here. The staff at the front desk was so helpful, and so quick to address any question or concern. My meals were excellent as was the service in the dining room and bar. The Sauna/cold plunge experience was exceptional and the coziness of my cabin cannot be paralleled. I cannot speak more highly of this experience, book it!

Amazing hotel with fantastic views across the Isle of Skye and the surrounding sea. Modern, very “Bind villain” vibe to the main building, all the guest rooms are individual pods in the surrounding grounds. These are quite small but well done and very cosy. The food in the hotel was excellent - we had breakfast twice and a festive dinner one night, all amazing. Probably the best hotel on Skye and well worth it. Oh and all the staff were super helpful and friendly, and the bar did great cocktails. We’ll definitely be back.

I could write 45 pages on why this property is the best experience I ever had. The little cottages are so luxurious, the view is spectacular, it’s so quiet and elegant. The food is AMAZING and I never say that about any restaurant ever. They had healthy and delicious options, everything is sustainably sourced, and the staff is SPECTACULAR. I did not want to leave. The main lodge and restaurant is so beautiful and so modern and spotlessly clean. They also have a sweat lodge and a cold plunge and the most amazing hot tub with a view of the Skye Harbor. Do not stay anywhere else in Skye or Portree. You MUST stay here. This is not just a beautiful place to rest your head or grab a gourmet bite to eat… This is a full on amazing EXPERIENCE. The Staff is the BEST And you will never want to leave this place. Being there is like getting a giant hug every single day. I cannot wait to go back!!!!!!!!! Five stars all the way!

This place was incredible. It’s pricey but more than worth it. Stunning location. Everything in the cabins was high quality. Very luxurious . Breakfast was amazing and the staff were the nicest and kindest people . We were so sad to leave. This place was definitely a highlight on our trip. Highly recommend !!!

A beautiful cabin on a hill..

We had a wonderful stay for a couple of nights at Bracken Hide. Everyone we met were super friendly and nice. We liked our cabin, nice view and cosy. We paid for the breakfast and it was great. They had a set menu to choose from. There were a lot of choices. We ordered the Scottish breakfast the first day and Eggs Benedict the next. Made to order cappuccino and hot chocolate. The area was a nice base to explore the rest of Isle of Skye. You have to walk a little bit to get to your cabin from the parking lot and from the restaurant but they offer to take your luggage in their golf cart. Will return again.

After reading many reviews and trying to do my due dilligence, we decided to book for our Engagement weekend on the Isle of Skye and were so happy we did!! The hotel staff was super friendly, fun, and personable. They have a golf cart to bring your bags to your room, and the rooms are cozy and quaint with a modern touch! It would have been nice for more counter space in the bathroom- hopefully they can add an extra shelf there. The free breakfast was fantastic, and they were accomodating to diertary requests. The dinner and bar area are beautiful, and after going to The View (Michelin recommended) this restaurant was much better in my opinion. The sauna and ice bath were lovely, it would have been nicer if the sauna was hotter, but the aesthetic was perfect. Also the hotel staff were so kind to us during our engagement weekend, and left us a special surprise in our room when we arrived after the proposal! Will defintely book again!

Fabulous pods!

Had an amazing stay here- pods are so lovely and cosy. The sauna and plunge pool fun and the breakfast was good. Friendly staff especially Marlena. Only 25 min walk into Portree - highly recommended! Also thank you to Hotels.com and Marlena for allowing me to change the date when a storm was due - even though we had passed the cancellation date. fabulous service from both on this account!
