Villa Melzi Gardens offers peaceful respite among Mediterranean flora. Family-run trattorias serve fresh lake fish and regional Lombard specialties right at the water's edge. Stone houses with terracotta roofs and flower-filled balconies create a timeless charm away from Bellagio's tourist center. Villa Melzi gardens border this peaceful hamlet, showcasing neoclassical architecture alongside scenic waterfront paths perfect for taking in those dreamy Alpine views. You'll need to stroll to Bellagio center for diverse dining options beyond the local osteria serving lake fish and regional Lombard cuisine. Small family-run guesthouses and private rentals provide intimate accommodations with genuine Italian hospitality. The area is highly walkable with limited public transport connecting to Bellagio just a 10-minute walk away.

Locanda della Maria
"Lovely stay, beautiful rooms, delicious apple strudel, Laura very helpful and welcoming."
Hotel Excelsior Splendide
"Excellent hotel in Bellagio. Great value. We booked a room with view of the lake. It was so beautiful. The room seem to have gone some remodeling. It looked so much better than the pictures on Hotel.com. The AC was very good. It was so hot outside in the beginning of August. We look forward to going back to our room at the end of the day. The ferry gates were also nearby. I highly recommend this hotel."
Borgo Le Terrazze
"Gorgeous!! Nice breakfast and sweet service but go for the view"
Charming Bellagio Boutique Hotel
"Location is super walkable. Pool area is very relaxing and welcome during the summer time. Staff was amazing with a packed lunch on our last day due to an early departure."
Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
"We stayed here for four nights —-booked two rooms for our family. Some of the highlights include: 1) great, fantastic location which is short walking distance to ferry, shops and restaurants. 2) we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and beautiful swimming pool every day. 3) super comfortable beds and well air conditioned rooms. 4) staffs at the breakfast, pool and concierge are super attentive, warm and helpful. The concierge booked a private boat tour for us and provided useful advices on day trips and ferry schedules. The only and the biggest low light was that the casual restaurant (La Goletta) was super disappointing. The food was boring, plain, and poorly prepared . The restaurant waiters were cold and stern. Given the price, the restaurant felt way below our expectation. Recommend to stay at the hotel but eat elsewhere."
Andirivieni Bellagio Guest House
"The breakfast garden and view. The staff, Eileen (sp?) was wonderful and super helpful!!"
Hotel Don Ferrante
"We had a lovely view from the balcony in our room. The breakfast was delicious too!"
Diamond Apartments
"Staff was excellent, building was in a fantastic location, Babayaga next door was a great spot for a quick bite. Only downside was the price but seemed on par with everything else on the island, so with that said I’d take this over some of the other offerings all things considered."
Domus Bellagio
"Very beautiful view from balcony. Staff were very kind and helpful! Overall would recommend. Is a great area to stay."
