I love Edinburgh I was a student there for 5 years so I'm biased. There's something magical about it for me. The fact it's walkable and you're surrounded by Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Craggs and the castle it's like a film set. Also feel safe there.

How many people wake up to a view of a castle. Traditional music on the street. Friendly people who would show you directions without a second thought. it's extremely picturesque. Hiking, castles, art and music. I would move to this city if I could.

Edinburgh has got a lot to offer and is very walkable. I would recommend visiting Dean Village, Old Town, Calton Hill, st Giles, Cathedral, Bus Tour, The Royal Botanic Gardens. Museums are mostly for free, unless there's a temporary exhibition on.

Edinburgh is a great city with many cosy pubs, restaurants and plenty of shopping. Set in a landscape of beautiful buildings and of course the castle. It's also easy to travel from there to the surrounding areas if your looking to see more.

Beautiful city to explore. We loved the castle - much more to see than expected. The open top bus tour was great- we went all the way round first ( about 1 hour) then stopped off at the museum and the palace. Loads of places to eat & drink

Edinburgh is a very touristy city. We enjoyed walking around the sites and taking a bus tour up into the highlands. It was very, very busy when we were walking around the mile, I wouldn't want to attend much later into the busy season.
"I loved everything about the hotel and staff! They greeted us with a warm smile and hello from the moment we arrived and every time they saw us throughout our stay. The hotel is so interesting, unique, beautifully decorated, and has great guest accommodations. They provided a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, robes, slippers, bar soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, liquid hand soap, shower cap, razor, toothpaste and toothbrush, bottled water, sparkling water, tea set-up, coffee set-up and caramel/chocolate bars. There’s also a full mini-bar and the prices were the most reasonable I’ve ever seen. They also had plenty of power outlets and many standard USB ports. They brought a bucket of ice upon request. The beds were very comfortable and I give the pillows a solid B+ rating. We travel a LOT and most hotels, even the nice ones, have garbage pillows. Housekeeping did an Excellent job keeping our room stocked and tidy. They came twice a day, which I love. It’s nice coming back after walking 20k steps to a clean room with dim lights and curtains pulled. They also have a direct line to a local cab company at the front door, so grabbing a cab is a breeze. The restaurant, Eve, was delicious! We ordered it as room service for dinner one night. Needless to say, our stay was very comfortable and I would highly recommend it for the amenities, exceptional guest service, as well as location. We will return!"
"I booked this hotel for a trip to Scotland with my adult children without knowing much about the area. Were we ever amazed to arrive and have Edinburgh castle across the way with a view of the castle from our window. Walkable to tons of shops and restaurants. Absolutely wonderful helpful staff. So friendly. Highly recommend this hotel! "
