Imperial experience
This is a grand hotel well maintained, clean and friendly. Large comfortable rooms. Unlike other Grand hotels I have stayed at, The Imperial still maintains the original high standards of the Grand Hotel. Prices are very reasonable in low season with great views across the harbour and easy walking distance to the town centre

We had a lovely stay at The Imperial Hotel. The room was spacious and lovely, with sea views and a balcony. We couldn’t have asked for more. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The breakfast was very enjoyable with a huge choice. To top it all, the weather was sunny and mild even though it was mid January! Loved it!

My first time in this hotel and I was more than happy with the overall stay, the place itself is enormous, took almost 10 minutes to walk to the gym! the decor is lovely and suitable given the age of the property, all staff were wonderful and the meals were delicious. Would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights in deluxe double sea view. Bed was very big and comfy, pillows a little too soft for me but may be fine for other people. Room was clean and spacious with good sized bathroom.View was fantastic over bay with nice balcony. Breakfast was included, service good and selection of hot and cold very good , only downside from my point of view was hot buffet food had been out a little too long and gone past its best under heat lamps. The outside of hotel could definitely do with a paint and a little time spent on tidying and sweeping

A very impressive well run Hotel, certainly one of the best inTorquay. Very well maintained even Brasses still being polished. Room warmth and comfortable, plenty of amenities eg Gym, spa suana at no extra charge.spacious longes and large restuarant. Don't be put off by the plain looking building if you view on Google StreetView. The inside is beautiful. The "cosy double" was actually a good size. Check-in was quick. Balcony access was restricted due to building works. This in itself wasn't an issue, but the windows could have been cleaner to maintain the lovely sea view. I would have loved a Smart TV in the room, but that was more a personal issue due to a clash in booking the comedy event I was attending and wanting to see a live event on Netflix on the same night!

They were amazing. The staff went out of the way to accommodate my extra needs: adding nights to my booking and providing a ramp for access to the dining room. They even arranged for an in-room refrigerator for my medication. Really attentive and courteous.
