Customer beware
Nightmare experience. There was a line of people outside blocking the door to the hotel and when I did push through I was offered drugs by two men at the door. The security guard on the other side of the door didn't care and was looking at his phone. At the front desk the manager also didn't care or express concern. His colleague was eating a big pie of Papa John's pizza at the desk. Total unprofessionalism. The people working here absolutely do not care about the customers well-being.

Absolutely loved the maritime hotel! Very clean and with wonderful customer service. My only complaint is that although we were on the elleventh floor we could still hear all of the honking throughout the night (but I guess its the NY lifestyle). I highly reccomend this hotel. It exceeded my expectations.

A Nautical Hidden Gem in the Heart of Chelsea
I loved my stay at The Maritime Hotel. The building's unique architecture and cozy, cabin-like rooms were wonderful. The stone bathrooms are beautiful but showed some wear. The lobby drinks and fireplace were perfect for the cold winter weekend. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful throughout my stay.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ I thought that the hotel being above the TAO nightclub would impact noise levels, but this wasn’t the case at all!

Great Hotel!
I really liked this Hotel. The price was great, comparatively speaking, for a Hotel of this level. The room was big enough to be quite comfortable. Nice breakfast, great location and very friendly and helpful staff. The only issue was that because the room was warm we chose to open the window and the street noise made it difficult for my friend to sleep. The hotel provided earplugs that she used on the second nite and they solved that problem. We will definitey stay here again.

Good choice
The room was comfortable and clean. There were a couple of very small upkeep issues I noticed but not something that couldn't be met. The furniture and bedding were kept up and crisp, neat and clean. I would return for another stay.

Like taking a ride in a vintage Rolls-Royce.
During the early 80s, when I was a young man, I worked as a parking attendant at various country clubs, and ritzy galas. during that time, I got to drive many high-end luxury cars. I was always amazed at the quality and workmanship of the materials used in conjunction with the weighed switchgear. The Maritime Hotel had a similar vibe. The staff, from the doormen to the front desk, to the cleaning staff, made me feel like we were being taken care of by a butler or valet. The lobby cocooned us in its leather and velour chairs flanked by a crackling fireplace, surrounded by enough books to make you think you're in a library. My cabin was of high-quality vintage decor that worked flawlessly. It was amazing that even the elevators always seemed to be there when needed. My stay was for only two days, and had it not been for work issues, I'd have definitely extended it. The hotel is well situated tin the Chelsea area of Manhattan. Close to the Highline and other attractions. The only thing lacking from this great experience was a hot complimentary breakfast. Everything else was flawless, otherwise.
