This hotel has the potential to be a 5-star property, but with current management and attitude it is 3-star at best, so it is quite disappointing because they set your expectations so high. We stayed only 2 nights and ran into the following litany of issues:
- When we arrived back to our room at 6pm the first day, nobody had cleaned our room. We were told the cleaning lady had "broken her leg." We later saw the manager of the hotel running around with cleaning supplies. There were a total of 2-3 people on the property pretending to run a high-end operation.
- There is nobody at the front desk most of the time, so it is impossible to get service promptly. When we arrived by cab at night nobody picked up the phone at the front desk when we called.
- The hotel is a 10 minute walk uphill from nearest parking lot, up stairs, so very difficult to get to for most travellers with baggage. To survive in this location, the hotel needs to be arranging pick-up for all of its arrivals and to have an army of bellboys on staff to ferry bags
- We had a "Superior Suite with Jetted tub." After talking to manager we found out that the superior suite is their smallest room, and that the jetted tub is actually located directly next to another room and shared. Ridiculous.
- Hotel location is incorrectly listed in Google Maps, and when I tried emailing the hotel to confirm its location, I never received a response from anyone
- No toilet paper in bathroom of the breakfast area
- Poor breakfast
