Luxurious feeling resort with private beach

Excellent design and condition, friendly and attentive staff, high quality food and drink in all inclusive package. Private compound feeling property as it is away from the hotel zone. Private road leads to the property surrounded by miles of mangroves in each direction. Architecturally this Hilton feels similar in design to the more luxurious Waldorf Astoria sister property next door. The hotel provided a complimentary bottle of sparking wine and cake for my fiancés birthday which was a nice touch.

Everything about our stay was First Class from the moment we got out at the entrance. Our room was immaculate with ocean views on two sides. The staff in all areas were friendly and catered to our every need. Dining was Excellent with wait staff always ready to help and the Bartenders made superb drinks. Definitely a new favorite destination.

The constant loud music around the pools was unpleasant. The evening entertainments on the ocean side of the resort were so loud guests had to keep the doors closed on the balconies. Many times during the day and the evening, you couldn't sit out on your balcony at all because the music was so loud. In the performance amphitheatre the sound reverberated off the walls and was so loud you had to leave. The entertainment choices were very poor. The only enjoyable entertainment was the Latin music band on Friday evening.

We went as a family vacation with daughter and 2 grandkids. The set up of the hotel is excellent with a children section and an adult section. The staff are generally very good. Want to give a shout out to Alejandra from management who helped us with room service improvements. And to Marco from AUMA, an awesome waiter who went out of his way. The rooms are quite spacious and we got one overlooking the ocean. The soundproofing of the hotel is non existent and the music gets very loud although they are good at closing down around 9 pm. The shows in the evening are very entertaining. The gym facility is excellent with up to date machines and equipment. The food in general is average for the buffet. Order simple foods for room service and should be ok. The restaurants in terms of ranking: AUMA top, followed by Maxal, La Luce and Sinan. AUMA is excellent. Go to the main lobby area to get your restaurant bookings as soon as you get there. The pool areas can get quite crowded so you need to go before 10 to get good beach chairs. The beach itself has been washed out so really non existent. But there are some play areas for the kids and the ocean water is inundated with seaweed. But a walk along the beach is very nice. And lastly if you have an opportunity for a free upgrade to WA next door, I would go for it. I regretted not doing that.

Room was a little run down (no fault to the cleaning staff). Staff weren’t the friendliest except for a few stand out. Food at buffet was OK. Restaurants and food carts were better (Auma and MAXALE were best). Kids had fun. Probably wouldn’t come back considering price.

I had the most horrifying experience at this Hilton Resort. Imagine checking into your room only to find a crocodile inside! This wasn’t just a minor inconvenience; it was a major safety hazard that could have endangered my life. What’s worse is the hotel staff’s response. They refused to take proper accountability, did not provide a written incident report, and outright declined to issue a refund. The lack of professionalism and concern for guest safety is beyond shocking. A hotel that cannot ensure basic security or address such a serious issue in a responsible manner should not be in business. If you value your safety and peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs.

Amazing resort would go back forsure. If one thing could be better i would say the beds could be a bit softer other than that it was amazing
