Not bad not great
Just off St Lawrence gap. The Hotel (like everything else in Barbados) has a real 1980's feel to it. Rooms was clean. Aircon was very noisy. Nothing special, but nothing too bad as well.

Appropriate cost to amenity ratio
While in need of paint and repair this hotel does have the advantage of an sea view from many rooms, an adjacent beach with limited swimming, and nearness to restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap. The Rainbow is relatively inexpensive compared to luxury hotels with lots of amenities. You will not be impressed by its decor but the tv worked, the phones operated, the beds were comfortable, the utilities never failed, and the staff cleaned and changed towels daily. Keep your expectations under control and you will be satisfied.
