Dinner and drinks at Hootinanies was great. The food was good and the music and session was fun. The Culloden Battlefield 30 minutes from the lodge- a must! Also enjoyed Urquart Castle and Glenfiddich Distillery; all within an hour and a half.

Inverness is a perfect place to go to experience the culture of Scotland. It has a very old feel with some modern amenities. There are some old churches and castles to explore as well!

Inverness is a nice, walkable town. River walk, museum, Leaky's bookstore, and fun restaurants and music.
"Very centrally located. I am a runner. The River Ness is outside the front door and you can run or walk by the river both ways on both sides. There are may bridges and places to cross. Many restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We went to Zizzi's on the other side of the river for dinner. Breakfast is good. Liked staying here. Inverness left a great impression."

"Nice hotel in a great location. The customer service received was exceptional from check in to check out. The staff went out of their way to accommodate any requests we had and to make our stay comfortable. "
"This hotel is right near the train station and taxi stands. Also near McGregor’s for traditional music and great F&C. Also get a proper scone and proper tea and cafe across the street."
