Cirencester is applauded for its local culture with enlightening attractions such as Corinium Museum and Bristol Aero Collectlon. This welcoming city has something for everyone including bars as well as sights like Cirencester Church and Cirencester Roman Amphitheatre. All are within a small-town setting.
Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds is a lovely small city, with everything close a hand; very ample shopping, amenities, restaurants... everything needed for a great holiday. The ancient Roman history is fascinating. The cathedral is beautiful

Very interesting and attractive. Good parking, pubs, eateries, shops and car access to some beautiful, if over-city-gentrified Cotswold villages. The museum is very good and the church is magnificent.

Beautiful. Amazing church. A fab vegetable shop selling fresh in punnets. The smell in the shop took me back to veg shops when I was a child. Streets were cobbled /paved which were lovely but it wasn't easy to push my friend in her wheelchair

We enjoyed walking around, but signposting was particularly bad , especially to find either any tourist information or the ampitheatre.

I wish we'd had more time to explore. There was a farmers market on during our stay. Parking is free at the town council building on Sundays. Google it for the map.

Difficult to get a taxi on a quiet Monday afternoon, even from taxi rank in town. Uber app pretended to have one but nobody accepted the job request after 15 mins waiting. Rang a local company e.g. Smiley Taxis
"We enjoyed our stay at The Thames Head. Convenient location with just a short drive to Cirencester. Also close to Tetbury and Minchinhampton. Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff were wonderful and food excellent.

"Lovely hotel and garden very nice place, good hotel room, good location, parking on site. Friendly and helpful reception staff and friendly helpful bar staff! The breakfast team gave good service each morning.
What more as a guest do you need and want!

"We had a fantastic stay at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly comfortable—uniquely decorated, clean, and a perfect place to relax.
The recently remodeled rooftop bar and dining area was a real highlight. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and refreshing, and the atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind.
The hotel also provided us with a walking guide of the city, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore Cirencester’s charming streets and historical spots at our own pace.
We will definitely be returning. Well done to the whole team at the Kings Head!"
"This is my second stay at wild thyme and honey, this time with my mum and it was just perfect. The service is great and they go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The food is delicious too. "
"The location, the staff, and the hotel were perfect for our last two nights in the U.K. On hindsight, I should have reserved a bigger room as the bed was full size and a little snug for two. We did request to change it and to our surprise we slept pretty well. The breakfast was excellent (lots of food) and the outdoor seating area and inside pub were very nice."
