It's a simple hotel without a lot of services, but it is clean, comfortable, and the staff is quite nice. Location is very practical, a 15 walk from the train station, 5 from lots of restaurants, and literally across the street from a shopping mall. We stayed in Cologne for two days, and we needed somewhere to sleep and park our car while we roamed the city on foot or public transport. The Ameron was an excellent choice. Easy to find by car, and right next to the tram station, with just 5 stops away from the city center. The hotel serves a very nice German breakfast, and the staff at the reception were very helpful with some tourist tips and information. This is now definitely my go-to hotel for my next visit to Cologne.
