The cultural city of Syracuse is full of attractions, such as Temple of Apollo and Lungomare di Ortigia, and is loved for its cafes and archaeological sites.
If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Mondello Beach in the heart of Mondello. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Isola Delle Femmine Beach and Spiaggia di Vergine Maria.
You can stroll along Palermo Harbour for relaxing water views when you're in Borgo Vecchio. If you carry on walking you'll get to Molo Trapezoidale, La Cala, and Palermo Cruise Terminal for some more water views.
"This was a perfect stay for me. The room was large, cleaned daily with fresh towels. The breakfast was good with all options, meat, cheese, pastries cereal, fruit , yogurt. The breakfast room was ver pretty. The location was on the main street, walkable with shops, restaurants, wine bars, book stores etc. Many sites are walkable from the hotel. There is an airport bus across the street , taxis, post office and two amazing cafes downstairs. Oh yes, a gorgeous botanical garden across the street. The staff were good. The self check in was no problem and I got into my room fine after 7 pm. The instructions were very detailed.
My room had no real view but inner courtyard and rooftops. Maybe higher floor rooms have a view.I did not care as the city has so much to see. The bed and pillows were nice. There is a kettle, bottle opener, tea bags in the room. A small safe too. They can arrange trips or airport runs for you.
There is no elevator so you must be able to carry your own bags. The wifi was not working. They are aware and trying to resolve. The cafes at the bottom of the building and many places have free wifi so no big deal. I think most people have their own data. I am not tech savvy so did not plan for that.
I was happy with the hotel and would tell others or stay again. Thanks for everything Etna Suites and staff. I loved it and had a wonderful holiday.

"Fantastic staff -- Silvio and Marcus, along with several others at the front desk were amazingly helpful. Nice spacious and clean room, with nice design details. The hotel is a short walk to the historical center (3-5 minutes) and a short walk and one-stop metro ride to the train and bus station. Great breakfast and amazing bread! I would stay here again if I visit Catania in the future. Highly recommend. Seyda "
"This is a lovely place! We had a view of Mt. Etna and the bay. We had our own private terrace. The dining area has beautiful views of the water and the gardens surrounding the property. The food choices were varied. All the staff were friendly and helpful!
There is parking right on the premises. You can walk into town. Be aware that it is an uphill walk."
"This is a lovely, professionally-run hotel. We paid extra for a balcony with a sea view and didn't regret it. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
Driving and parking in Taormina is expensive and challenging. We paid 50 euros to park at Porta Pasquale for 3 nights. It's about a 5-10 minute walk downhill from the hotel. People had a really hard time figuring out how to use the parking machine, but eventually everyone did. They need better instructions. "
