Great traditional Japanese ryokan and wonderful dinner and breakfast -- salmon, sashimi the first night and shabu shabu the second. Convenient location to take bus to Shin Hotaka Ropeway. The hike from top of Ropeway up to Nishi Ho Hut (san so) was a bit rockier and steeper than anticipated but lovely fall color.

Great natural hot springs
This is a great little village with hot springs near a ski resort. The hotel was comfortable and the nearby shrine was beautiful
Room is good but dinner and breakfast is average. Location is close to the bus station to Kamikochi.

Tolles Ryokan
