We booked this property mid-March for a four person stay. The day of the stay, AFTER receiving the confirmation email, we turned up at 7 pm exhausted and ready to stay for the last night of our trip. Turns out, right after we received the confirmation that morning, they sent us an email saying that they were full and could not accommodate us. We were left, the night before leaving, trying to find a place to stay. Prices for everything had skyrocketed. I decided not to fight through Hotels.com at the time as I had my elderly mother with me and she needed a place to rest. However, because Expedia can not reach the owner now, I am choosing to fight through my credit card company. So far (as evidenced by this ability to rate my stay), the property has not let Expedia know that they cancelled, and Expedia has been unable to reach them to verify the cancellation. Expedia offered me $25 in credits through Expedia to make up for the stress. Frankly that doesn't begin to cover it. I had to pay for a different hotel and parking (when my previous booking included parking, additional petrol in the UK for a new, farther away stay). Why would I ever consider using Expedia/Hotels/com for any stay in the future if a early booking may not be honored?

Good items: more spacious rooms than others we stayed at in London; very good private parking area; bathroom was well renovated; 10 minute drive to Heathrow; Things to know: no elevator (older building with 2 floors); no air conditioning, and it was fairly warm so we left the window open (street was quiet and not a problem with noise over night); “breakfast” was very basic with only instant coffee available, packaged snacks and breakfast cereal, so we waited and had breakfast at Heathrow; we felt the bedding was clean but both wondered since it didn’t have the “crisp white” look of other hotels. We were charged a 20 pound deposit for the keys, which was returned when we checked out. Additional rules: no food or drinks in the room, shoes not to be worn in the rooms, which was a little odd. We were under the impression the place was being renovated and has the potential to be very nice. It was in a residential area & required a drive to find decent restaurants.

Absolutely stunning hotel the room we had was just WoW it’s just a shame we was only sleeping the to go catch a flight we didn’t arrive till gone 1am and the member of staff was really helpful. They have a fridge in the room with a few beens and soft drinks in all for free also had some crisps and chocolate bars for free as well The only down said was they need fans in the room England was going through a heat wave and the room was absolutely boiling.
