Medina
Marrakech's cultural Medina neighborhood is loved for its castle and gardens, and visitors often enjoy its varied attractions including Jemaa el-Fnaa and Le Jardin Secret.
Marrakech's Gueliz neighborhood is known for its restaurants and cafes, and entices visitors with attractions including Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Majorelle Garden.
Marrakech's Hivernage neighborhood is known for its cafes and restaurants, and entices visitors with attractions including Palais des Congrès and Menara Mall.
Marrakech's Annakhil neighborhood is known for its restaurants and entertainment, and entices visitors with attractions including Amelkis Golf Club and Al Maadan Golf.
If you like strolling among the stalls, you might want to head out to Jemaa el-Fnaa in Medina for some quality bargains. You could also start your cultural experience by heading over to the museums in the area. Splash some more cash at Souk of the Medina, Souk El Bahja, and Souk Semmarine.
Ready for an education in local botany? Majorelle Garden should make your list of places to visit, located 1.2 mi (2 km) from central Marrakech. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Le Jardin Secret and Menara Gardens, both nearby.
During your visit to Marrakech, you can find the perfect gifts to bring home at Menara Mall. Amble around this relaxing area's picturesque gardens, or seek out the local tours.
Explore the great outdoors at Menara Gardens, a lovely green space in Marrakech. Amble within picturesque gardens or visit the shops in this relaxing area.
Lose yourself in the labyrinthine souks, haggling for spices and handcrafted treasures in a sensory whirlwind. Sip mint tea in a riad courtyard before exploring the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna square's snake charmers and storytellers.
Don't take money out at airport instead opt for ATMs on Jemaa el Fna as you'll get a better rate, also get a local SIM card in airport when you land as it's easier to follow Google maps than real ones when navigating Marrakech (around €20 for 20 gig)

My first time in Marrakech. If you have time I recommend getting a hammam and finding a tour to the Atlas Mountains and hike around Imlil. A great contrast to the medina. Explore the new town. Get lost in the souks.See Ben Youssef and Secret Garden

We loved our visit to Marrakesh. We found people friendly and helpful, the streets were clean. We had lots to do and see and enjoyed the market. We found a lot of good dining opportunities to try out and found going up and down to the market easy

Marrakech is not for the faint hearted. But if you enjoy the hustle & bustle of the traditional & vibrant Medina district and embrace the culture, food & street life you will have a time fab. Book a 'free' walking tour online - to get your bearings.

It seems a bit spooky and intimidating at first in the complex maze of streets and alleys in the Medina, but if you are willing to walk a lot and familiarize yourself with the haggling culture, you feel safe very quickly and you'll have a blast.

We enjoyed walking around Marrakech, it's so interesting and architecturally beautiful. Exploring by foot and also using taxis was easy and we never felt unsafe. Many people offered help and directions. We loved the food and atmosphere of the city

It's changed a lot since I last visited in 2010 but still a fantastic place for a city break, you cannot fail to be mesmerised by the sights and sounds of the Medina and the numerous places to visit. Just be prepared to bargain hard in the souls!

Marrakech is a bustling city that comes alive at night. The people are friendly, welcoming. Bring your most comfortable shoes & get ready for long walks. We averaged 6mi per day. August is overwhelmingly hot, consider coming in spring or fall.

A city of 2 parts. Within the Medina it is very traditional but step outside and it is like lots of other cities with the usual shops and fast food restaurants. We also travelled to the Atlas Mountains for a day away from the hustle and bustle.

At first, Marrakech was quite overwhelming, but it has gradually won us over. The city is a vibrant hub of activity, filled with kind people and countless attractions. If you have the time, be sure to explore the surrounding areas as well.
"Rich in culture, friendly staff and very clean. Could not have chosen a better place! To improve I’d suggest adding safes and fridges to rooms, but other than that - I’d go back! "
"The property was absolutely beautiful. Our host (who used to be a teacher!)was very gracious and we were greeted enthusiasticly and with a tea and a desert. Our host did an amazing job helping us book our excursions to the Ouzud Waterfalls and The Agafay Desert for a camel ride + dinner and a special show.
The bed was comfortable and the soap and shampoo smelled great. The daily Moroccan Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious. The rooftop is a great space to sit and enjoy the breeze as well. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. The special Moroccan tea was itself an experience. We also loved the little cat that lives at the rooftop!!
The small pool was really nice and cold. It was great to cool off after being out all day in the heat. It was a little noisy on the first floor as our room was in the courtyard but not so much it disturbed my sleep.
I would 100% stay here again. Actively dreaming about returning here for the 2030 World Cup! It was an amazing experience to be able to walk through the marketplace from our hotel and the entire staff were absolutely amazing and courteous. Much love from America. Shokran! En shalla!!! "
"Straightforward check in service with affable staff, our room was wonderful, clean and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions for our itinerary. Lovely terrace for daily included breakfast, although it was carb heavy, a few more protein options would have been nice to start the day.
A mini fridge and hooks in the bathroom would be good touches for the rooms.
Comfortable stay in a beautiful well curated Riad.
Thank you to all the kind staff members for a memorable stay."
"Lovely welcome. Staff so friendly. A beautiful Riad and huge perfectly decorated bedrooms . The whole hotel was so picturesque and beautiful , the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Pool was lovely . Such a nice relaxing atmosphere . Staff could not do enough for us , they were fabulous . I would definitely recommend this homely hotel .
The only criticism would be there is not any air conditioning where you eat breakfast & dinner and in the seating areas so we tried not to spend much time their as was very hot , "
"The place really is faultless. The staff, the facilities, location we really cannot recommend the Nobu enough. We have travelled the world extensively and as a 54 year old man I have never been to a hotel like this and considering we like to travel luxuriously this place is a standout. Will most definitely be visiting The Nobu again. Many thanks Justin..."
"The hotel presents a classy atmosphere and is conveniently situated in the business center of Marrakech, offering easy access to various amenities. The breakfast is also quite delightful. Furthermore, the cleanliness was consistently excellent. I extend my gratitude for the outstanding service provided."
"Amazing experience staying at this gem. Great location and at the heart of the city. This place is beautiful and the pictures cannot do justice to how nice everything is. Then there is the staff, so kind and generous with their advice. Truly a memorable experience, thank you! "
