Highly recommended. Definitely a good choice to stay in old town Amsterdam with friendly local Dutch host and staffs. Most sightseeing places are walking distance. Characteristic decorated bar and tables. Delicious breakfast. Room windows can open and enjoy the sun light, fresh air and canal view. Free minibar refreshes everyday. Yeah, stairs are steep but I find it fun and good experience.

Good location, great hospitality

The hotel was in a great location to allow us to walk to everything we wanted to see in Amsterdam. It was clean and a very unique hotel. Due to a local festival happening during our stay, it was a bit loud and the stairs to the room were very steep and narrow. However, it address to the charm and experience rather than detracting from it. The biggest thing is the people who work at the hotel. Every person we encountered was so helpful and friendly. They carried our luggage to and from our room, greeted us everytime we walked in, helped with drink choices at the bar, and explained the hotel and area. Rachel was especially helpful and went above and beyond to help me enjoy my time in Amsterdam. I cannot say enough about their hospitality!

Cute little (Bed and Breakfast) Inn near the red light district and central Amsterdam. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was great. Just be aware of the steep stairs to the rooms.

Hyggeligt, specielt og yderst luksuriøst minihotel midt i orkanens øje i Amsterdam. Dejligt værelse, rent, flot og stort badeværelse taget i betragtning af husets størrelse. I travel a lot and generally stay at larger hotels but this was a private trip and we wanted something a bit more personal. This truly is the best hotel and most interesting hotel I have stayed at in many years. Service was outstanding throughout check-in, breakfast and departure. Location is a bit unusual given that it is a bit too close to the red light district in Amsterdam but there are plenty of options for good restaurants and experiences as long as you avoid the crazyness.

A very nice speakeasy hotel. Small and comfortable boutique. Staff was very friendly and took time to talk to us. As other reviews mention, the bartender checked us in and carried all of our luggage up to our room for us. The stairs are steep and small but manageable. Luckily we were on the first floor (2nd level above bar) so only had to go up one set of steps. The bar was never loud at night. We had a canal view so did hear cars & people off and on all night, but didn’t bother us. Loved the room!! Gabriel was our cook each morning and the breakfast was a perfect start to the days. You feel like you are experiencing Amsterdam from city center… the way we wanted it. We would definitely stay there again!

If you have the opportunity to stay at this unique boutique hotel then your super lucky. From the time we entered into this beautiful lobby and were greeted by the nicest guy Gabriel who stored our luggage and offered coffee at 8AM. Our room was clean and cozy, the refrigerator was stocked with snacks and drinks daily. The owner even provided us with breakfast in our room knowing we had a early tour and would miss breakfast. Every morning they provided amazing breakfast with delicious coffee, fruit,yogurt,bake goods, eggs and bacon. Our experience could not of been better!

Hidden gem n the DAM!

Beautiful boutique accommodation. Lovely place to look at, quirky and individual. Great Cocktail bar on ground floor that presented us with no noise issues, it's more like a speakeasy. Breakfasts were great and the service from everyone was perfect. Genuinely I would not hesitate to book again.
