Not as advertised
We went for my son's 12th birthday. We were going to cancel the trip because the weather was supposed to be horrible all weekend. Bc it had an indoor pool (the entire reason I booked this bc my son loves to swim) I figured we would just relax and let them enjoy the pool. Upon check in, there was a giant sign saying the pool was closed. This wasnt advertised at all. I would have stayed elsewhere so we had activities to do for his birthday. I feel this was horrible of the hotel not to advertise this, and honestly feel like we deserve some of our money back. The front lobby also smelled off. When we went to go to sleep there was so much noise in the hallways that my 6 year old started to cry bc she couldnt fall asleep. Slamming doors and yelling until 1am. Our heat unit also made a horrible sound when it turned on that also woke us up continually. Breakfast was great. But they had half the dining room ripped apart with ceiling tiles down and water on the floor. Tears in the ceiling. Our key card for the room also had to be continually swiped for it to open the door. I didnt bother getting a new one since it was a one night stay thankfully

Third time staying here as our tradition. Pool was closed. When we arrived for our anniversary getaway, we were told that it should be open in the next hour. It was closed all weekend. We had our bathing suits packed and were excited to relax poolside. The breakfast was downsized and was very disappointing. The refrigerator in our room was unplugged and had black mold growing in it. We cleaned it up and plugged it in. Everything in the room was unplugged I assume to save money. My girlfriend joked and said that she walked into a cobweb. This was the first hotel that we had ever been to together and we hoped and looked forward to continuing the tradition. But I think three times was the charm. No more for us

Overall, a good value...
We had to change our room due to a barking dog in the next room. Restaurant/Tavern service was a little slow and my draft beer was flat and a little sour (which could be normal for that beer...). The room was clean and well equipped and the complimentary breakfast was good. Overall, good value, however and in a good location for what we wanted to do.

Okay Stay
It was an okay stay for the most part. The room could've been a little cleaner. There was a french fry on the floor and my son didn't use the blanket because there were what looked like blood stains on it. The people next to us must have had a little party or something because it was really loud as we were trying to go to sleep. In the morning we were woken by doors slamming in the hall. We found out about the pool only when we checked out. We were only there for one night, so didn't complain. The breakfast was really nice with lots of options including eggs and sausage.

Good, with a few problems
The room was comfortable and large. I appreciated the free breakfast buffet with hot eggs and sausage and a waffle maker. The staff were all around very good! A few gotchas are: bathrooms need a refresh, the business center did not have a working printer though a printer was right there and I was told the computers were only for browsing - needs a printer, the exercise room, though small, was good enough, except tiles coming off the floor were a trip hazard and the treadmill program didn't work; internet kicks you off after not very long and you have to keep re-connecting to the wireless. However, I would stay there again.
