On the hottest day of the year, I booked this room thinking that, of course, a Best Western would have working air conditioning. Ten minutes after booking, I walked to the check-in counter to double-check if the a/c was working and they said no. On the spot I asked for a cancellation/refund and without any empathy, I got a hard no. Literally 10 minutes after booking, instead of being a human they refused the cancellation and refund and told me to contact Expedia to take care of it. So I called... and I went through at least 5 agents to request the refund that the hotel property told me to get via the Expedia agent. These people are greedy. I book hotels via Expedia for 10 months out of the year, and this is the first negative review I've had to leave.
Should the hotel decide to honor their word and give me a full refund, I will then retract my review.
