Pretty good
Nice safe area with lots of places to eat close. Property was clean for the most part. The chair in our room had large bleach stains and large open electric box under the desk. Our AC didn't work but we were able to open the window partially. Nice TV and bathroom. Deposit was more than cost of room.

Terrible condition.
The bathroom toilet was barely connected and moved way too much. The lavatory sink faucet was also barely connected and moved around. I made a mistake when booking this trip but did not check the refund/change box which I have never needed for any of the many other trips we have made from North Carolina to New Orleans, stopping for one night in Birmingham. I have never made the mistake of not making two reservations for the first night down and another for the night back up. I contacted Hotels.com immediately after the booking when I realized I mistakenly booked the entire week and paid over $500. I also spoke with the manager at the hotel who was rude, unwilling to discuss a refund, stating it would cost him. I'm not sure how, since he could double book those nights. I realize I made a mistake but I am disappointed he would not even discuss a solution with me. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel but will never book it again and will never recommend it to anyone.
