At this time the hotel is under remodeling. So my review is giving a bit of grace due to the construction.
We stayed at the same hotel a couple weeks ago as well.
Upon arrival last time, we had to move rooms due to the new tv not being programmed. A bit of a nuisance, but ok.
This time, after checking in, I noticed stains/dirt on the bed. I immediately went downstairs and was given keys to another room. Staff didn’t seem to be bothered and asked “ What is that?” when I showed her a photo of the bed, and simply stated she would give us another room. I replied I had no idea but wasn’t going to sleep in that bed.
2 stays, 2 times I had to move.
The new room hadn’t quite been completed with the remodel. We had to move a lamp and the new tv hadn’t been installed yet. The old tv is on a table in front of the whole in the wall where the new tv will be installed.
The tv only has 13 local channels, due to no cable service. They only have a local antenna. We also had a broken tv remote.
My husband picked up a fresh towel, only to find a hair on it.
There were no hangers available to hang clothes.
The construction crew takes up almost all the parking spaces in front of the rooms between equipment and their personal vehicles.
I was really hoping this would be our go-to hotel as we travel to SD often, but after a second chance, we will not be returning to this property.
I left with the feeling that staff doesn’t care and there is no pride in the care of the hotel or guests.
