The main part of the city reflects the history - particularly the starkness of architecture during communist rule. The old part of the city is quaint and beautiful and well worth several really good walks. Warm friendly people - well worth a visit.

This city really took me by surprise, especially with regards to the food and drink scene. Be sure to book a wine tasting in the dark in Old Town Bratislava, then get a table at Flagship for a €5 litre of beer and some delicious dumplings!

Very peaceful, calm and quiet city, didn't feel like a capital city. Had a charm of its own, beautiful architecture & a compact city. Easy to visit on foot.
