Very friendly people in Merida. All of the service staff at the stores and restaurants treated me with respect and tentative to my wishes. Great place to visit. The city center is old and well preserved. The Spanish churches are over 400 years old.

Merida is a wonderful city and it is one of the safest cities in North, Central and South America. As the capital of the state of UConn, it provides cultural things of interest, historical points of interest, plenty of entertainment for everyone.

We visited Mérida 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the place. We've been back every year since. This is a large city but retains its colonial charm. The food is great, the shopping is great and the people are friendly.

The city of Merida's culture and history was amazing. The people are extremely welcoming, never once did we feel unsafe, and it had beautiful buildings. The only complaint I have is I wish we had stayed a few more days.

They are re doing the pave stone around the plaza on the cathedral so the area is under construction and no transit is allowed. Other than that Merida was super clean, beautiful and safe!

Wonderful friendly people. I felt safer in Merida then I do in my own city. We loved the markets Nd shopping there was great even though we spoke very little Spanish. If you want to see the cenotes and Mayan temples this is the place to stay .
"Everyone was friendly as soon as we walked in. Check in desk is right outside the property which is the set up. My kids stayed a night before us and said that the food wasn't that great. They told us not to order the pizza but said that the waffles are good. Kids will be honest so, take your pick. There is a burger king down the road and a coffee shop right outside the property. "
"The people in merida are frendly and clean city. Cops are there to protect and they do their job. They respect traffic lights and the city is super clean. The hotel was amazing "
