BIG Mistake

This hotel was worth $30 a night & definitely NOT what I paid. There were some updates, but not everything was “finished.” The bathroom was horribly done & the furniture did not pull the room together. The bathroom was like a college dorm bathroom; I did not even use the shower as I felt I needed shower sandals. The towels need to replaced as they were like sandpaper. There were 3 pillows on the bed & each one was of a different texture & firmness. The vents were not cleaned. I went around everywhere to disinfect every touchable surface. I brought my dog with me & it was an extra $20 charge. There was no carpet in the room & if my dog had an accident, using the towels & disposing of them would have done the hotel a favor. Walking into the lobby was a reality check that I was hoping the rest of the stay did not match (it was the worse one I’ve ever stepped into & customer service was less than average). I am very upset that I used my rewards money on this hotel as it was NOT worth it in the slightest. The pictures online are not realistic compared to reality. Other hotels looked great after driving around compared to this one. The hotel looked like they should have paid guests to stay there.

Impressive

Never stayed here before this trip. I grew up in this town and was surprisingly impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the room. The new owners or management have really done a great job cleaning and improving this property. Its not fancy or luxurious but it is top of the list for a cheap place to stay. Good job!

Not the best.

The lobby smelled like cigarettes. The toilet paper roller was broken and had to handle to roll with my hands. No telling who used it last. Also, molding missing from the wall and the mattress was terrible.

Staff was very kind. The only food is inside the casino restaurant, which closed at 9, unless you go to the gas station next door. I had to mess with the TV for like 30 mins to get it to turn on and work, which was irritating after a long day of driving. It was like 21 degrees outside when we arrived at our hotel, and got inside and realized whatever central heat they have that is controlled by the thermostat on the wall did not work. There was a plug-in furnace heater already in our room, so we had to place it in between the 2 beds.. It kept us warm while we slept, but the rest of the room was freezing (bathroom), etc. so needless to say there were no showers that happened. It was just an irritating set of issues for people that were on the road for hours prior to arriving. We just wanted to relax in a warm room and watch tv but ended up faced with things we had to “fix” before we could even do so. The room itself was fine, the sheets were clean and the bed was comfy. However, I will not be staying here again. I paid for a warm and convenient place to stay for the night and don’t feel I got that.

It was obvious they had made an effort to offer a large room with amenities such as coffee pot and frig and tv hairdryer, but it looked like there were a lot of locals living there and it made us nervous.

mid/lower tier motel

old. wood paneling walls. they are trying to renovate (bathroom was slightly updated). had a gas heater but it did not work. sheets had a few hairs, so not sure if they cleaned. I was there for one night 10pm-6am so it was whatever

We always stay here when we are in Bishop. The rooms are clean and price is reasonable. In town and walking distance to pretty much anywhere.
